BIOGRAPHY
GUILNAR MAJDALANI
Born in Lebanon, on the 2nd of June, 1984. Raised by a father who plays the Lute, a loving mother and guided by an uncle who plays the percussions, Guilnar sharpened her musical ears at an early age and started to learn piano at the age of seven at the Lebanese National Conservatory and along the years she learned and mastered the Solfege, the Theory, the Harmony, the Counterpoint, the Fugue, the Analysis, the Chamber Music, the Occidental and the Oriental history of music as well as the History of Arts.
Guilnar graduated in 2007 from the Lebanese University with a BA in Music Education.
In 2007, she won the 1st prize of TOUFIC SUCCAR AWARD of the National Piano Competition at Balamand. She participated in many auditions in the Lebanese Conservatory during that year. Moreover, she finished a master's class with the Russian Pianist Victor Bunin in October 2008.
Guilnar taught piano in several Institutes and is currently giving private lessons with the same passion. She can be found in events, weddings, and live concerts all throughout Lebanon.
She released her first two albums (Relaxing Moments I and II) featuring solo music, recorded at the Elias Rahbani Studios, and are distributed by Mozart Chahine.
During August 2013, she entered a Worldwide YouTube Piano Competition organized by Jarrod Radnich on the Famous Piece PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN among 151 participants and was the only Lebanese one to succeed in entering the competition and Win the 6th place.
She Released her First Video Clip, Pirates of The Caribbean end of December 2013.
Guilnar was guest in several programs on many TV Channels, like :
LBC – MTV- OTV- Future TV- Orbit-LBC SAT-AL.Hurra , Tele Lumire, Tv Charity, also Performing in renowned venues & Hotels such as "Casino du Liban- Biel- Forum de Beirut-Phoenicia Hotel- Lancelot. Bay- Le Royal".
